Mayor's Greeting

On behalf of the town of Haysi, I am pleased that you have taken the opportunity to view our webpage and hopefully visit our town.

We have a beautiful small town surrounded by the mountains of Southwest Virginia, nestled at the junction of the McClure and Russell Fork Rivers and also Russell Prater Creek. Although we strive to retain our small town heritage we also have many of the recreational and cultural amenities you would expect to find in a much larger town along with a strong sense of community.

The town of Haysi benefits from the natural beauty of our surrounding mountains, waterways, parks and trails. Built upon those foundations are many opportunities for outdoor recreation in the forms of hiking, biking, kayaking, etc. along with first class hunting and fishing.

Whether you live close by or far away, I would like to encourage you to take advantage of what Haysi has to offer.

If you are looking for a wonderful community in which to live, I invite you to come visit us here in Haysi. I believe you would find this a welcoming and friendly community to visit or live.
